One advantage of english-dubbed animes is that it saves a lot for the TV network. English-dubbed animes mostly come from America. So, the TV networks save a lot when they keep the english dubbing. They save money because they don't have to hire a crew of dubbers. They save a lot of effort and they save a lot of time too. And sometimes, english-dubbed anime are dubbed more professionally than filipino-dubbed anime. That's because of the technology they use.

Magic Knight Rayearth became one of the top-rated animes in the Philippines even though it was aired on sunday mornings and dubbed in filipino.

Even though that's the case, filipino-dubbed anime has been more successful than english-dubbed, rating-wise. Examples of which are the drama animes that ABS-CBN 2 is airing. Cedie: Ang Munting Prinsipe and Sarah: Ang Munting Prinsesa have been consistent top-raters in the morning slot. Let's not forget Magic Knight Rayearth and of course Ghost Fighter. This is because Filipinos relate more to the anime when it is dubbed in filipino. Filipinos also follow the plot more easily in filipino-dubbed animes.
